Designed for workshops processing stainless steel and other high-alloy metals, both models deliver filtration efficiency greater than 99%, giving you a self-contained welding workstation rather than a separate bench and extraction unit to source and fit together.
Why Choose a W3 Certified Bench for Stainless Steel Welding?
Standard filtered downdraft benches aren't rated for the fume produced when welding high-alloy and stainless steels. The MasterWeld MW800-WB and MW1200-WB are W3 certified specifically for this work, using a Sintexx Plus nanofibre cartridge filter to maintain both filtration performance and strong airflow, backed by an integrated spark arrestor, differential pressure monitoring and a clogged filter alarm so you always know when the bench needs attention.
Choosing Between the MW800-WB and MW1200-WB
- MW800-WB — 800 x 800mm work surface, ideal for smaller components and tighter workshop space
- MW1200-WB — 1200 x 800mm work surface, suited to larger fabrications and higher-volume production
- Both are also available as -WBL variants with an integrated UV welding screen, shielding nearby personnel from arc glare without blocking your view of the work area
Both models are built for MIG, MAG, TIG and MMA welding, and suit fabrication workshops, precision engineering, maintenance departments and training centres working with stainless and high-alloy materials. Note that, like all filtered downdraft benches, they're designed for dry, non-oily welding fume and are not suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
